Camping and living logistics

It is essential that you bring your own tent and sleeping bag with you to the camp.
There are shaded woodland areas close to the house where you can pitch your tent. The tent spots are flat however you may wish to consider bringing some sort of mattress with you because the ground can be quite hard.

There are indoor and outdoor toilets and showers (cold showers only). Electricity is available in and around the house. Various water points are available for clothes washing etc.

There are two training areas; one outside on the platform and one inside in the barn. The barn doubles up as a common space for hanging out, especially in wet weather.

Food and drink

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared and cooked for you and are served regular times everyday (apart from one evening each week when we all go to the local pizzeria!)

All meals at the camp are vegetarian. The food is freshly made good quality wholesome home cooking. We try to use as much seasonal and local produce as possible to create a variety of both typical Italian dishes and delicious worldly creations. Breakfast is served as a continental buffet. Sometimes eggs are also offered. Tea and coffee are usually available throughout the day. All water flowing into the camps complex is fresh mountain spring filtered drinking water.

Things to be aware of....

The camp is in a very isolated and mountainous region so to have the ability to connect with the natural environment and to be a reasonably good walker will help you to get the best out of your stay.

The facilities at the camp are shared and of a basic quality. Although staying at the camp is reasonably comfortable the CapoeiracCamp is by no means a holiday resort. The accommodation is camping so you must be prepared to take care of your own needs of comfort and personal requirements.
